Welcome to CARA Swim!
The CARA Philosophy
The CARA program was created and designed to be a program for the non-ranked, non-sanctioned participant and focuses on the recreational aspect of swimming teams. Competition does have its place in the program however it must be emphasized that the competitive nature is of secondary importance. The primary objective is the development of skills and sportsmanship, while encouraging all participants to do their best and assuring each swimmer experiences some degree of success
Goals and Objectives
- To ensure the participation of all team members in league play.
- To develop a strong sense of sportsmanship and fair play in each player.
- To teach the basics of sports skills, as well as, meet/game play to the average participant.
- To make participation in a CARA event a fun and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- To ensure that recreation and its philosophy govern the coaching methods, attitude, and objectives of the coach and team
